Welcome to Wendy's World

Some people find their special place in life and the job for which they are best suited more easily than others. Many people spend their lives doing things they don't enjoy, things that leave them unfulfilled. What a blessing it is to discover one's niche in life at an early age.

Raised a city girl in Chattanooga, Wendy was always interested in art and horses. She graduated from Brainerd High School with honors. The University of Tennessee with a degree in Commercial Art, and was the only one in her graduating class to have an art position upon graduation. It was her interest with horses and art that opened doors for her. She served as art director for The Voice of the Tennessee Walking Horse magazine. Her first published art work appeared on the cover of that magazine. Wendy moved to Bean Station in the 70's, were she continued to draw, adding historical buildings to her portfolio. She has more than 60 published calendars to her credit. She has won awards in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Nashville and Morristown for her artwork, and now keeps busy filling commissioned orders.

She served as Executive Director of the Arts Council for Hamblen County, past president of the Morristown Art Association, and was included in the 1980 edition of Outstanding Young Women of America for her work with her church, 4-H, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and involvement with women's organizations. Wendy has owned and operated The Frame House on her farm in Bean Station since 1980, and has earned the prestigious CPF (Certified Professional Framer) ranking in her field. In addition to her picture framing and art career, she has taught drawing classes since 1984 and is currently teaching weekly at Rose Center, Morristown, TN.

She currently makes her home in Blaine with her husband, Buford Watson, where they raise registered Paint Horses and beef cattle. Her enthusiasm for life and encouragement of others is reflected in her classes, her artwork and through her picture framing. Wendy has found her special place in life and is enjoying every minute.
